Mobile 9.2.1 - Drafts not visible in iOS

asked on March 12, 2015

Downloaded Mobile 9.2.1 (and Forms 9.2.1) and currently running tests.

iOS - Forms drafts not visible in menu on iPhone or iPad. They are visible in Android (4.4.2) and accessible

Android (4.4.2) - Upload attachment (known issue) and .lfe links not available to open from email. Are there forthcoming resolutions for these 4.4.2 issues or should our clients look to newer Droid versions such as 4.4.3 or 5.0 (lollipop)?

The new Laserfiche Mobile app for iOS has not been published by Apple yet. It is still going through their approval process. Once it's approved by Apple, then please update the Laserfiche Mobile app on your iOS device and you will be able to take advantage of the new features such as viewing form drafts.

For the upload attachment issue in Android 4.4.2, that is not something that we can fix as it's a bug in Android that Google fixed in 4.4.3 and higher. See this page for more details.

As for the issue of opening .lfe links from emails, what specifically is the issue when using the new Android app (version 9.2.2)? I did a quick test using the Gmail app and I was able to open .lfe links from the email directly in the Laserfiche Mobile app for Android. My device is using Android 5.0, but are you saying that you're experiencing an issue with Android 4.4.2, but not any later version of Android, while using the new Laserfiche Mobile app 9.2.2?

I'll keep an eye out for an updated LF app on iOS then. On that note, I didn't download a new version of Android App or is that automatic in the background?

Regarding the .lfe links, as per previous thread https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/71705/lfe-links-not-opening-in-mobile

I will test on newer versions (4.4.3 and 5.0) but it appears isolated to 4.4.2

Thanks Alex. That makes more sense now.

The issue with the .lfe links is fixed in the updated Laserfiche Mobile app for Android. It wasn't associated with any specific version of Android. The update has been available from the Google Play Store since 3/10. You can just check for updates from the Google Play Store.

Thank you for the submission! I've forwarded this to our developers. I can't speak for what's in the works, but keep an eye on our product roadmap for information!

Zach, I don't think it's a question of what's in the works. According to the release notes for LF Mobile 9.2.1 it states "You can now access forms you saved as drafts in the Laserfiche Mobile app.". But in iOS the option is not there. I am seeing the same thing.
