Question

Is Forms able to look across multiple domain controllers through the base distinguished name?

asked on March 9, 2015

With Forms 9.2.1, we are now able to add multiple base distinguished names in order to search across multiple groups.

Are we also able to look across multiple domain controllers using this feature or is it only limited to one domain controller?

This feature is limited to one domain controller.

We have multiple domain controllers and have it so we can just point to a single address and our systems determine which dc to hit. This way we don't have to specify a single dc. It's like load balancing, but for domain controllers.

Hey Blake,

I know this is an old question, but I've run into this issue with Forms most recently. Do you happen to have the name of the software/service you use to do this?

Thanks Blake for your reply. We will definitely keep this suggestion in mind for future customers.

For this customer, however, we are not going to be able to rebuild their entire DC environment for a single application.
