Question

Is it possible to publish a forms only when approved ?

asked on March 4, 2015

Hello,

I have a form with an approval step.

For now, the form is publish when it is submit as 'starting form' and a second time as 'starting form (2)' when it is approve, but there is no difference between both file. So I would like to publish this form only when approved.

Is it possible ?

Regards.

Hello Moana,

The Exclusive Gateway activity in the Forms Process Modeler allows you to split your flow into paths, and set up conditions for which one of the paths will be followed by Forms.

What this allows is for you to create one path for Approvals and an alternate path. Then you can place your Save to Laserfiche task within the Approvals branch, so that a copy is published to Laserfiche under those conditions only.

Alternatively, if you delete the Save to Laserfiche task that is occurring before the Approval Step, then you can eliminate the first copy of the Form, and then when the approval is made, you will get only one total copy of the Form published in Laserfiche.

Feel free to reply if you would like more assistance.

Thanks,

Hello Nathan,

thank you for your answer. Indeed, I had never use full capacity of the Forms Process Modeler. Now, it's done and it's works great.

Have a nice day.
