Iframe IE11 don't recognize laserfiche scanning

asked on March 4, 2015

Hi everyone,

One of our clients(they use desktop with windows7 64 bits sp1), use laserfiche webaccess inside of na Iframe. As soon we upgrade the internet explorar to 11, when we click to open the scanning, it shows the box to download and install laserfiche webscanning, however it is installed already. It seems that it did not recognized laserfiche scanning installed in the desktop!

This only happen inside the IFrame, if we open laserfiche web access in the browser, it Works fine!

Using IE11 debug, i found that for some reason inside de iframe, webaccess wont recover a value to know if the scanning is installed. (Attached are 2 screenshots with the erro

Is there any configuration that we are mission in the iframe that is blocking webscanning?, we have tried in other browers and Works fine.

Hi Vitor,

I tried this in our latest released version of WA (9.2.0.67), and unfortunately I can reproduce your error. We're unsure why this errors being thrown, as it appears IE11 dropping a variable at some point. We filed a bug report (SCR124885 for your reference) to follow up and see if there's any way to fix this WA side.

Thanks for making us aware of this!

You should upgrade to the latest version of Web Access and see if you get the same behavior there.

Ok, Thanks!

I didn't see, but was my mistake, i sad that was using 9.0.2.67, but I was using 9.2.0.67.

But ok!, i also tried on IE10 and worked fine, so i believe that the problem is with something with IE 11.

thanks again!

have a good day!

Hi There,

I have a new information!, we were using chrome because this was happening with IE and so far was working fine, however today, as Chrome updated to his new version 43.0.2357.18, started to happen the same problem at Chrome, of not opening the lfscanning inside the iframe. I don't have much information because we rollback to an early version that we had of chrome offline(27.0.) and now is working fine!...

Any new information I will tell,

Good Day!

Regards

Vitor

I just found out what happen with google chrome, in these new update that came out, if we go to the link chrome://flags/#enable-npapi and click and activate NPAPI, the iFrame works good again!, for some reason they deactivated by default, and many plugins stopped to work. but with IE I still with no success!

Is there an update to this issue? We are trying to test scanning through Web Access; however, we are running into the same issue. IE11 will not recognize that web scanning is loaded on the machine.

Thanks!

The last update that I can give is that the problem with the iframe on IE 11 was solved in the last version of Web Access, at least with me, in Web Access 10. However, with the Chrome browser stopped to work, in the last update of google Chrome ,they removed the option to turn active the NPAPI plugin.
