Question

Changing author information on a form

asked on March 3, 2015

Looking at some of the forms we had posted online (externally), one of my coworkers noticed that if you go into View Source on the actual form page, you can not only see the author's username (and domain), but you can actually see that user's SID from Active Directory.

Is there any way we could modify the form's author information so information like this wouldn't be available in the page source?  And if not, could this be an enhancement request for a future release?

What version of Forms are you using? I checked with our public forms and it does not show that information in the author meta tag. We are running Forms 9.2.0.

We're using Forms 9.2.0 as well, and it shows up when viewing the source on the page of the form I'm filling out:

<script type="text/javascript">var jsonForm = {"formId":<id>,"name":"<Form Name>","description":"<Form Description>","title":"<Form Title>","tags":null,"createdby":"<DOMAIN>\\<username>","createdby_sid":"<user SID>","dateCreated":"\/Date(<Current Date>)\/","updatedby":"<DOMAIN>\\<username>","updatedby_sid":"<user SID>","dateUpdated":"\/Date(<Current Date>)\/"

I see what you're talking about. It would be nice not to have that out in the open.

Thanks for finding this, we will fix it in later release.
