The original installation of Mobile Server 9.2.0 may have been in an unexpected state that is causing an issue when upgrading to Mobile Server 9.2.1. Please see this thread which provides suggestions on cleaning up the original software installation first prior to installing the latest version.

Uninstalling and reinstalling 9.2.1 fixed the issue. Thank you.

I received the same error message when trying to install Mobile 9.2.1.  I also had to just uninstall Mobile 9.2.0 and then install Mobile 9.2.1.  That worked.

This worked for me too.  Just uninstall 9.2.0

We were able to re-create the issue when upgrading directly from the original release version of 9.2.0.177 to 9.2.1 or when upgrading from 9.2.0.183 (that was manually patched on top of 9.2.0.177) to 9.2.1.

There wasn't an issue when upgrading from a fresh install of 9.2.0.183 to 9.2.1.

We'll have a KB written up, but the workaround would be to just uninstall 9.2.0 first before installing 9.2.1

Yes, we had same issue on client site the last day or so. Uninstall and install fresh solved the problem.

Note that we didn't need to reconfigure as when we installed fresh, the configuration page had everything populated which I found odd but saved time!
