Question

Searching for Stamp Name

asked on March 3, 2015

I am trying to search for a stamp name using the LF Client (9.1) and keep receiving an error:

I am following the instructions provided in the Advanced Search Syntax guide and using the following Advances Search Syntax:

{LF:AnnPubStampName=“CONF”}

I am using one of the standard stamp annotations for simplicity but I am unable to find any documents with any stamp name applied to them.

I ultimately need to create a search to use in a workflow and I usually always test that search in the Client first to make sure the desired results are being returned.

Thanks in advance.

Eric

Update:

I was able to get this to work correctly. I originally copied the search syntax from the LF Advanced Search Guide and just replaced the stamp name that was in the quotes. For some reason, the quotes copied incorrectly so when I went back and manually typed the quotes with the stamp name, it then worked.

That's because you seem to be using Word "smart quotes" instead of regular straight quotes around the stamp name. Try changing it to {LF:AnnPubStampName="CONF"}

The issue may be with the double quotes that you're using. Were those copied from another source? They look like Microsoft smart quotes which may cause a problem. Manually type out the double quotes or you can try copying from below:

{LF:AnnPubStampName="CONF"}
