Question

Copying connector profiles

asked on March 2, 2015

I need to run the same Connector profile on four different workstations.  I have copied over the xml profile from one workstation to the next.  I can see the profile when I open the Connector which shows it is "Run Time Only".  However, the connector profile is not running.  It does not show the connector button on the second workstation nor does it respond to the short cut key.

Thanks,

Hi Jen,

It's definitely supposed to work, especially if it's loading the profile in Connector itself. Can you send a copy of the xml profile to Laserfiche Support, as well as a log of one of the runtime machines trying to run it? Instructions on enabling logging can be found at: http://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/laserficheconnector/9.0/en-us/userguide/#Troubleshooting.htm . Enable logging, restart connector, then go to the page where it's supposed to show up. That should be all we need. Thanks!

Hi Justin,

Sorry for the delayed response.  The customer pushed this to the back burner.  This customer has four servers that host this application for their users.  The users RDP into the servers to use the application.  When they RDP, they will randomly be logged into one of the four servers - they never know nor need to know which one.  I've installed the Connector with Profile Creator on all four servers.  I configured a profile for each server.  When I first configure it and test, it works great.  However, if I close the application and open it right back up, the Connector button is not there.  If I wait about 2 - 3 minutes and log in, it is back.  Any ideas of what I might need to change?

Hi Jen,

We appreciate if you can send a copy of the XML profile and log file to Laserfiche Support. Thanks!
