Question

LF Scanning won't open on web access when using google chrome

asked on March 2, 2015

Hi there,

When I open laserfiche web access , and click in the scanning button, the laserfiche scanning won't open. I already add the lf plugin on chrome, but still not openning the scanning. Is there something that I am missing?

When i try to use IE 10 already in the desktop, it works fine.

The pc is windows 8 Pro 64bits, chrome version is 40.0.2214.115 m

I saw this article, and i did add this plugin, but still with the same problem. When i remove it, and i click to scan, it shows the box to download the scanning again, and also shows the yellow messagem in the superior part with the kb article. When i add the pluguin and actived, still no openning the scanning!

Currently this issue is only seen in Google Chrome on a Windows 8 or Windows server 2012 environment. As a workaround please use another browser such as Firefox or IE11. Once a fix for this has been addressed, this thread will be updated.

Andrew

Hi Orlee,

We're actually working with the Chrome team on this one. It seems to be introduced in some combination of a specific Chrome build and (possibly) a specific Windows Update. No update yet, but hopefully we'll be able to help them track down the cause.

Just adding to this thread that we are running into the same issue.  Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I have a client that is running into a similar issue with Web Access Scanning and Chrome. Has there been any updates on this?

Hi Aharon,

Are using web access inside an i-frame? If not, then the Last version of web access (10.1) and Chrome(51.0.2704.103 m, works well. Right now I don't recall when was fixed it, but I have installed last version of both  and I can open laserfiche scanning without any problem. The only problem that remain is that inside an I-frame, the scanning does not open, it does not recognized that it is installed in the desktop.

Hi Vitor,

Yes, it is regarding Web Access inside an i-frame. I started a support case to see where this is at, but it sounds like this is still an issue, as you have mentioned.

Hello,

We have a client that is having this same issue.  They are using Web Access 10.0 and when trying to scan it keeps prompting to download LF Scanning.  We have downloaded and installed that with the same issue still happening.

They are using Firefox and we tried in IE with no luck...

Any updates would be great or if someone found a solution please share!

Thank you,

Jon
