Please note that oftentimes, "Permission denied" usually means exactly that.

  1. What is the exact version of the LF client that you are using?
  2.  Is the issue document specific or destination specific (i.e. it works with other documents or it works when you send the document to a different location in the Repository)?
  3. Is the issue template specific? If you do not assign the document a template, does it work?
  4. Is the issue user specific?  Do other users saving to the same location, using the same document encounter the same issue?

Please note as you requested:

Laserfiche Client 9.2.0 Service Pack 1 (9.2.0.472)

MS Word 2013 Professional

The Issue is user specific. the Administrator can save Metadata in both Laserfiche Client & through Word client. but other users can only save in Laserfiche Client but it denied them in Word Client.

Is the user in question a member of a specific group? If you create a new user with all access rights and no group membership, does it work?  If it does, you should check on the individual groups that the problem user belongs to and make sure that no restrictions exist for each group that they are a member of.

Deivin, there is no quick fix.  "Permission denied" usually means exactly that. Did you go through the same steps described above? Have you checked the groups that the user belongs to?  If you have not, please do so.

Raymond,

I removed the list fields and it works fine. the problem only exist with the list field values and if you remove the list field and replace with text fields it will not give any error.

That sounds like an old issue. What version of the client are you running exactly? What version of LFS.exe do you have in the LF server folder?

If you are on a current release, can you check security on the fields?  Make sure the user has rights to the metadata fields.
