Question

Encryption of PDF

asked on February 19, 2015

I would like some information on Laserfiche encryption and how I would be able to encrypt attachments on emails that get send out from the email function in workflow.

I have already played around with the encrypt with password option(In the email function) but it doesn’t prevent the document from being changed.

This is an example of what I am looking for (Taken from an encrypted document in Adobe reader):

I don’t need the document to be password protected just the document must be encrypted to stop any changes(Editing) from occurring.

Your first screenshot does not seem to be loading.

Laserfiche does not currently have any capabilities for modifying PDFs to set passwords that will prevent editing,

Hi Miruna,

Would it be possible to direct us to where we might be able to find software/scripting that could assist us in encrypting documents before sending them out via E-mail function in LF? ( Eg. Running a custom script activity for the encryption and then emailing the document out via the e-mail function)

Thank you

If you want to encrypt emails. It seems you can do it on the Exchange level using Office 365

You can use the auto mass secure plugin for Adobe acrobat to automatically encrypt a bulk of PDF's.

You can download the trial version from the below link and try it but it will be with watermark.
