Cannot Access Laserfiche Mobile with Windows Account

asked on February 18, 2015

Hi,

I am trying to access laserfiche through mobile but to no avail. The LF server is 9.1.1.486 whereas the mobile server is 9.2.0.183. When I access through Admin which is a respository user I am able to but with a windows user I get the error "user account or password is incorrect" though that's not true. I have tried both ways of using the asername only and also the domain\username  but i get the same error.  I found the below errors in the event viewer when I enabled logs

Message: Could not connect to the Laserfiche Authentication Service: Could not connect to net.tcp://localhost:8188/lfauth. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:02.0592396. First, make sure Windows Authentication is allowed on the Mobile Configuration Page (see the following article in the online help, specifically the section titled "Authentication").

With Windows Authentication enabled, users can login to the mobile app by typing in their credentials in the format DOMAIN\username.

If that still does not work, can you confirm that Windows authentication works using Web Access?  If that does not work either, Are Mobile, Web Access in the same machine as the Laserfiche Server?  If they are not, did you configure Kerberos?

To answer your questions

- The windows authentication is allowed in the mobile configuration page.

- Windows authentication works well with web access.

- The mobile and web access are on the same machine as Laserfiche.

But still not able to access with windows authentication using mobile application

Please confirm if "Laserfiche Authentication Service 9.2" is running on the machine. Go to Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Services and look for the service in question. In case the service is not running, please start the service and try again to login using windows authentication.
