When selecting more than 10 folders in the "Within Folder" search pane adding an 11th folder replaces one of the previous selections, is there a limit, and is this normal behavior. Also when selecting the red "X" to delete that folder, it deleted a previous selection and not the line on which I was trying to delete. In the screen shot, you'll notice that the 1st folder was COW\GS\Municipal Court\2012\01-2012, until I added the 11th folder to the bottom of the list, in which case it replaced the 1st selection. If indeed we are limited to searching only 10 folders than we should not have the option to continue adding as this is the result. I did not see in the LF admin help what the limit is for number of folders you can search. version 9.1.1 I did not test this in webaccess. Thank You
Question
Question
How many folders can you search in the search pane at one time for the full client?
Replies
In 9.2.0.343 I added more than 20 folders to search from I stopped at 30. I don't know what the limit is, but it looks like a 9.1 1 issue that is corrected in 9.2
Thanks Derek, we are hoping to upgrade to 9.2 soon. Did you notice either of the other behaviors? Deleting wrong line, or replacing a prior folder in the list when adding a new one?
No I didn't see any of the other behaviors
Derek,
Just curious, in 9.2 can you select multiple folders in the same window, for example: When you select the "..." next to the within folder name box and the browse folder selection box comes up are you able to use the ctrl or shift key to select multiple folders or must you select each; one at a time per line?
There's no multi-select, tree structures don't usually support that functionality.
Thanks for pointing out this bug, we will look into fixing it.
Robert,
Also if it's helpful. When selecting folders in the browse folders box, it seemed to always default to the highest level, meaning you had to drill down to the exact folder you wanted to add everytime, however when I selected the 11th folder it remembered the folder I last chose, and therefore I did not have to drill down as I did with the prior choices which makes it much easier.
Not sure about 9.2 or if it's even feasible from a programing perspective, but if you could use ctrl or shift to select multiple files in the browse folders.. select folders box that would be awesome!
Thanks Robert!
