Recommended Steps to Install ScanConnect?

I was wondering if there are recommended steps when installing a scanner and Laserfiche on a new client machine. For example, should the drivers for the scanner be installed first, or should the Laserfiche Client, Scanning, and ScanConnect be installed first?

I'd install the updated scanner driver after ScanConnect.

I have a Fujitsu with VRS already installed, but as it is a Windows 8 machine, I need to use ScanConnect - should I uninstall the scanner driver & VRS (Kofax) first? Or install ScanConnect and let it update the scanner drivers?
