LaserFiche Web Access server encounter error Issue

When I try to log into the LaserFiche Web Access, I get this error message:

"The Laserfiche Web Access 9.0 server has encountered an error and could not complete your request.

If the problem persists, please contact your administrator."

Can someone tell me what this error message pertains to or suggestions?

Chances are that you might be experiencing the "Validation of viewstate MAC failed" bug.  To verify this, I would highly recommend logging into Web Access from the server as this will give you a more detailed error message.  If you are experiencing the "Validation of viewstate MAC failed" bug, then you would need to update to version 9.2 for a permanent fix or apply this KB https://support.laserfiche.com/KB/1013541

This is a pretty genaric error.  What are you trying to do in the system when it gives you this error?

Yes, you can call me Deb. I am the admin and I am logging into the web access as the admin. I also tried to login as other users and they are generating the same error.

Do you get the web access login prompt? Also what happens if you try this at the server?

Yes, I do get the web access login screen to enter my username and password. It is after I click "Login" do it take me to the error screen showing me the error message.

I can log into the LaserFiche client at the server but I cannot log into the web access website at the server either.
