Directory Server - You do not have enough rights to view this site

asked on February 11, 2015 Show version history

Trying to access Directory Server and suddenly I get this message.  It is as if though someone has blocked out my account. I suppose one of the other admins could have. In any case, if I can't even login how do I gain access again?

Just confirmed with the other admins, they all lost their access rights as well. Looks like someone or something removed everyone's access to the system. Will need to recover access somehow, we need at least one account that can get in and manage other accounts.

Please see this page regarding access to the licensing site. By default, any user that is part of the built in local Administrators group on the Laserfiche Directory Server computer will have access to the site. Also, any non local admin can access the site as long as they are a member of the Laserfiche Directory Service Administrators group in Windows.

If your account does satisfy either of those criteria, but you are still getting an error, then please open a case with Laserfiche Support.

Interesting, we are in that group and the administratos group. There is some options in the application to choose what rights a user has though. I will open a ticket.

A Case has been opened with Support. The troubleshooting process will be performed through the Case process and this thread will be updated once a resolution has been reached to assist other User(s) that may encounter this same issue.

Hello Andrew,

I am a new admin on our system and I'm getting the same error message. Has a solution been found?

Are you a local administrator on this machine?
Please install a modern browser like Edge or Chrome or Firefox and try again.

Miruna,

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, it was a permissions issue and has been resolved by our server administrator.
