I'm building a workflow that includes a step to send an e-mail to a particular recipient. Is there any way to have the workflow process automatically include a copy of that e-mail in a particular folder within the repository (effectively acting a bit like a "Sent mailbox")? Or would I need to include the Workflow user in the bcc: section and have a separate workflow handle the routing process into the intended LF entry?

Ian,
There is no direct way that I know to do this, but there might be an indirect way. I would setup an email box that you can bcc on the email. The email would go there and you could load a third party piece of software like this.

This would monitor the inbox via outlook and automatically save the incoming email to a .pdf file on the local hard drive. You could then use Import Agent to watch the folder on the local drive and bring the .pdf back into the DB.
From what I have read about that software it would monitor multiple Outlook folders and send the incoming emails to different folders on the local hard drive. So you could set this up for multiple workflows or emails if you have Outlook routing the incoming email via an Outlook rule to a different folder.

You could potentially automate the process using IntegratedCMA Email Manager. They offer an Exchange option or an Outlook option.
Email Manager, a CMA product, does exactly what you wish and more. You can view videos about the Email Manager integration between Outlook and Laserfiche by going to: www.integratedcma.com
Or, if you prefer, I would direct you to the videos on YouTube, by going to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TIo9pngBng
