Question

Can a checkbox launch another form?

asked on February 10, 2015

I have created a form that asks a yes of no question.  When the question is answered yes I would like to launch another form that I have created in a different process.  Is that possible?

Hey John,

There is no explicit way to launch a new Form in the exact way you are asking, but it is certainly possible to configure a conditional branch after the submission of this Form that contains either a User Task containing a new Form, or perhaps an Email Task, where the content contains the URL to the new form (the condition being that the checkbox is marked "yes"). If you are looking to start a different process from this one, the Email option would be the better choice.

You would need to add in an Inclusive Gateway, and use the existing path as well as this new path as outputs from that, and configure a condition on the new path.

Thanks,

I did this by using an Inclusive Gateway, and use the existing path as well as this new path as outputs from that, and configure a condition on the new path. Just like you mentioned above.  Thanks the email option will be fine for now.
