We use a coversheet to enter data into quickfields, but the data on the sheet moves up and down when the page is printed sometimes. Is there a way to set an index mark that will let quickfields know the position on the ocr boxes are relative to that mark?

You also may want to look into using barcode instead of Zone OCR for your cover pages. By default, Quick Fields searches the entire page to find the barcode, so it won't matter if it moves around.
Barcodes should also give you more accurate data than Zone OCR.
There is Optical Mark Recognition, however you still have to select an area to look for the mark so you would end up with the same issue you are facing now. What I would suggest is to set a Pattern Match and widen your area for the Zone OCR. For example on your cover sheet if you have the following:
Name:
Company A
you could set a Pattern Match of Name:\s*(.*)
Quick Fields has an optional Add-on called Forms Alignment. With Team/United or Avante licensing, The Forms Alignment is available ala carte. With Rio licensing, Forms Alignment is part of the Quick Fields Context package.
With Forms Alignment, you can provide a sample form and then Quick Fields will try to align the processed pages with the sample.
