Does the Java SDK work on Java 8?

We are planning to integrate read-only access to our LF repo from a Java system.  This system is deployed on Java 8.   I cannot find any statement on the website that says what version of Java the SDK requires.

The SDK documentation section on 'Using Java' indicates:

JRA is pure Java and requires the JDK 1.5 or higher. If you want to use Windows authentication to access Laserfiche, JRA requires a Java 6 or higher JVM. Otherwise, JRA is also compatible with the Java 5 JVM.
