Question

Is there a size limit to a document sent via email ?

asked on January 29, 2015

Hi,

Is ther a limt on the size of a document sent by email from LF Client ?

My client is getting an error when trying to send a 127 pages tiff document in PDF by email. After 15-20 minutes she is getting error 'maximum limit has been reached: 6,000 X 8804005  or 6,000 X  80131620'. Compression in .zip is used.

In the email options there is a box that can be checked to warn when attachments are greater than a certain size. I am almost certain what you user is getting is caused by the limitations of their e-mail server rather than by Laserfiche.

Derek and Raymond, you are both right. The document was by far too big for sending by email: 1.77G !

Thanks and regards,

If you export the file first, save it to your desktop then manually attach it to your email client, do you get the same behavior?

I have this same issue. When i move it to my desktop THEN attach it my email I don't have the same issue. It has got to be a setting somewhere in Laserfiche. I just can't figure it out.

Robyn, your issue is likely different from the one mentioned by Michel.  Please talk to your VAR and have him open a case for the issue so we can investigate it further.
