Scanning Settings Don't Save

asked on January 28, 2015

I have a single user that's scanning settings do not save (Laserfiche Scanning, not the Basic or Standard mode prompt).

The only thing I've done recently is change her last name in Active Directory.

After it was reported to not work, I removed and added her back in through Admin Console and verified her active directory username was showing. I also updated her scanning to 9.2 with our Rio install.

One thing I noticed is her user profile in Windows does not have the same amount of folders (some containing user.config) as other users. No matter how many times I've had her log out or log back in and set the scanning again it does not save.

Any ideas?

If you make the user local admin, does it work?

None of our users have local admin rights, so that is an unknown / not applicable to our scenario :(

You can grant the user temporary local admin rights, set the scan settings then remove the right.  The scan settings, especially the local driver settings, are saved locally.  Once they are saved, they should remain but first, you need to make them local admin.

You can also log in as a user with local admin rights and set everything up first.
