Hello Rob, thank for taking my call
Yes you are correct I meant "Save to Laserfiche" in Forms Config Page. Storing done via Service Tasks.
I had tested this for a prolonged period with the following observation and I know the main cause of this is network disconnection or unreliable connection.
-With a connected PC we have no problem always uploads fine
-I was using a Samsung Galaxy note 8 tablet and I had only 3 time this problem (upload would end without uploaded file but would freeze the browser) happen to me during a period of 3 months . For me that wasn't bad and the ratio was tolerable. My wireless environment was home or office which with reasonably reliable connection
-I also, tested Nokia 10 (not sure the model) inch which kept locking up (within the same network environment).. In this case the ratio was around 50 percent. Not very good, for that reason I suggested Samsung Galaxy thinking that Nokia might have a issue.
-Now the client is testing Samsung Galaxy 10.1 on the road and the upload and lockup issue is about 15 percent. They are connecting to hots spots from Rogers and Verizon.
I understand that if you have no connection you can't upload and that is normal. My problem is that the Submit button on the Form gray out (can't be selected) and screen locks.
Here is some ideas on the form is used:
When Sales agent visits the store he/she takes picture of the store and builds up the page and during this time he might take another picture(s). The problem can happen in first upload or subsequent upload if he needs to add another image or file. When the form freezes the Sales agent needs to refresh the form to start the form submission and re-enter all the values again.
I think the form should not freeze. If there is an issue with the upload, it should error out and come back with no connection response but it should not freeze the browser. When this happens, Sales agent needs to refresh the page (for another try) and loose content of the form.
I hope this helps, let me know if you need more info.....
Thaks
