Feature Request: Double Click Token to Go Directly to Activity

asked on January 28, 2015

We have a workflow I have been troubleshooting lately by adding the Track Tokens activity. To find the value I am looking for I perform a search and then below I see a list of results for that search. Currently there is no easy way to go directly to the activity the token is associated with. I have to go through each activity one by one until I find it.

It would be nice if I could double click or right click and had an option "Go to Activity" to make it easier.

Interesting feature request.

Have you tried using the Find Activity feature of the designer? You can access it from View>Find  in the menu bar or by hitting Ctrl+F. Here is an example where I can find a Retrieve Field Values activity that creates a token that contains the text "Loss" in one of its fields.

This doesn't resolve all cases of your problem but it should handle many of them (and some people don't know the feature exists). Specifically, it'll find activities where the name of the tokens created are configured somewhere in the properties. Note you can use regexes for this search.

I guess my suggestion would add a lot of ease of use to it. Since I'm already looking at the running or completed process and viewing the Tokens tab and doing a search there, it wouldn't make a lot of sense for to go somewhere completely different to do another search.
