Forms and SQL

asked on January 23, 2015 Show version history

I am linking a SQL Database to Laserfiche so I can use a drop down list straqight out of SQL rather than programming the list. When adding a new datasourse I get the following error message "Ambiguous column name 'name'" I have checked all the settings that I can find. Any suggestions?

I found my answer. This problem is similar to another post dealing with workflow connection to a SQL database. In the options window for the database under properties there is a Compatibility Level selection. In my case it was set at SQL Server 2000. I changed this to SQL Server 2008 and this corrected the issue. The question asked before I changed the selection was will this have any impact on the database? Since this is not actually converting the database, the answer is "no". I made this change during the middle of the day of a production database and no users or applications were affected.

Derek,

Have you received any information from Laserfiche. The either message was going to be updated or if support for a database with compatability level of 2000 is supported?

Thanks in advance
