Universal Capture having PDF import capability

We are currently using a MFP that scans our documents and emails them to us as a pdf. We currently can only "scan" documents into Universal Capture that are tiff's, jpg's or bmp's. Will this be available for pdf documents or is it already and I am unaware of how to use it?

Universal capture works as a virtual scanner by capturing images.  The file formats available for Universal Capture are BMP, JPEG and Tiff. Basically image files. If you want to import PDFs, you can use Import Agent instead.

You can also use Quick Fields and configure a session that uses Universal Capture to process PDFs. This gives the extra ability of generating images from the PDFs and perform various image processing as needed.
