Question

Exception of type 'Laserfiche.LicenseManager.InvalidLicenseException' was thrown. (LMO0)

asked on January 23, 2015

I removed AD groups and users (except my access) to rebuild the Organizations, AD rules and users.  all my licenses returned to the pool as expected.  however, now I get the error above when I open LFDS.  I am not able to move forward to rebuild.    I proceeded with this process because AD syncing stopped.  It was suggested in a previous post that one invalid rule would stop all syncing. I have many rules and hitting one at a time was taking to long.

Do you have more than one database with the same license? It's probably best you take this issue to Tech Support through your reseller so we can take a look at the event logs.

A support ticket was opened ... reference 165088.  it was determined the LDFS installation was corrupted. Re-installation did not solve the issues.  Same error.

Restoring the SQL database from last night brought the services back on line.  Retraced steps from early this morning to rebuild Users, Orgs and AD rules.  Everything went as expected.  AD syncing is now working.   The whole issue started because I could not sync to AD.  LFDS appeared to sync but users were not added or removed.  The only quirk is I appear to have an extra license available.  go figure.
