Question

Using tokens in LF Connector

asked on January 22, 2015

I selected a token from a web page when I was creating a profile in LF Connector. The profile performs fine if I'm searching for the same case number every time. Is there a way to pass a different value to the token so I can search for a different case number other than the one I used when creating the profile?

Also, is there a white paper on LF Connector?

Hi Jerry,

When you defined your search, did you use the token in the search query, or the original case number? Once you've saved the profile and launch it from a different page, Connector should update based on the page you are looking at.

The web help for Connector is available online at: http://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/laserficheconnector/9.0/en-us/userguide/#About.htm

I used the token %(Case_Number).

Hrm, this definitely should work. Can you provide screenshots or a link to a video of your setup process? If you don't want to in a public venue, you can talk to your VAR about passing it along to Laserfiche Support. Thanks!

I was using the token %(Case_Number). The problem I was having stemmed from when I created the token, the wizard did not save that specific area so LF Connector did not work the way I expected. I redefined the token area and everything is good now. Thanks for the assistance.

Glad you got it working! What application are you using Laserfiche Connector with?
