Linked documents - Remove "Attachment" label

When you use linked documents, is there any way to get rid of the “(Attachment)” label?

That is the link type. It looks like you're using the Message-Attachment link. It is displayed to indicate the relationship between the 2 documents because the direction of the link matters to some users.

So this is a link type and thus cannot be hidden/removed correct?

That is correct. Message-Attachment is one of the built-in link types, but it would work the same way for user defined links. Usually people want to know which document is the message and which is the attachment.

Can you describe how you are using the links and why the type is not needed?
