You can manually deactivate their Laserfiche Server and then move the VM to a new host. Then re-activate to get a new license file that contains the new hardware fingerprint. Make sure to place the new license file back into the Laserfiche Server program files folder, overwriting the old license (and ACTIVATIONKEY file if applicable) and restart the Laserfiche Server service.

Hi Alex,

We followed the above steps and all went well but we received Rio License Manager Error 2044 The licensing database has been disabled error. We had to go to the license manager admin console, click 'Add Master License' and select 'Request the master license from Laserfiche'. Then we re-registered the LF server instance from License Manager admin console and generated the LF server license and put it under the LF server install and restarted LF server service.

Did we not do anything right that we received the error?
