Keep the VM going

posted on January 16, 2015

Empower15 may be over, but you can keep the learning going. The lab virtual machine-still available for download from the Support Site-has the full Laserfiche 9.2 product suite, configured for the Laser Investigators. This VM can be used for a little while longer, with the following expirations.

  • MS Windows is inactivated and will expire by Jan 22. However, you can rearm the activation deadline to add 30 more days. The procedure is explained in this Microsoft KB article. Alternatively, the machine can be licensed and used indefinitely.
  • Laserfiche licenses will expire on March 1. If you have Rio or a VAR Kit, you can relicense the software to keep things going.

See you at Empower16!

I've been showing off Forms and how we can apply it to our business today, but I received the following message:

Laserfiche Forms has encountered a problem.
The maximum number of process submissions allowed by your demo license has been reached. To reset this count, you must restart the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service.

How can I get this reset/restarted?

Thank you!

Hi Sarah,

It's found in the Services control panel, which can be found by pressing the "windows" key and then typing "services."

Then locate and click on "Laserfiche Forms Routing Service" and finally you just need to click on the Stop then Play buttons.

I'd love to get access to all the useful code contained in the VMware.  But when I attempt to download, I get a message on the Support site that my Permission is Denied.  How can I get around this?

Thanks

Sonja
