Question

quickfields multi-value fields cover the fields below

asked on January 6, 2015

My template is sharing fields defined as multi-value fields, but multi-values are not needed for this template.  What is the work around to display all fields and titles without covering up fields below?  It looks very confusing.

Hi Lori,

This is a display issue in Quick Fields and we'll file a software change request for it. As for workarounds, I'm not sure if there are any good ones. The issue occurs after you enter a single value into the field, causing the second input to appear, covering up the field name of the next field. If you were to enter in a second field value and then remove it by clicking on the X, then that allows the next field to be seen.

*Edit*

Another workaround may be to configure fields for that document class and rearrange the order of the fields, moving the multivalue field down so it is the last field.

We'll provide further updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you.  I will try the workarounds. Another question..  I have access to the admin console and can change the order in Laserfiche, but how can the order be changed in Quickfields?  Do I need Admin access for Quickfields?  Lori Wilcox

You wouldn't need to modify the template from the Laserfiche Administration Console. In Quick Fields, if you have the ability to modify the document class, you'd just right click on the document class name and select "Configure fields..." to bring up the dialog that allows you to rearrange the fields in Quick Fields only.
