I’m currently finalizing my Empower15 class, BAS201: Visualizing Shared Services for Your ECM System, and I want to hear from you! My goal is to present information that you want to know based on where you’re at with shared services in your organization. The goal is to better help you centralize your approach to implementing a shared ECM system. What concerns are you facing as you look into adopting a shared services model?
If you've implemented shared services before:
- What are the most effective drivers for your implementation?
- Is it having support from executives/stakeholders?
- Was it a formal or informal approach?
- When implementing, do you have strategies and tips to share for those looking to adopt?
If you’re planning to adopt a shared service:
- Where are you implementation-wise?
- Have you only installed in a single department or process?
- Have you pushed out across the enterprise but now looking to centralize functions?
- Are you and your department championing the cause of shared services?
- What strategies have you used to get buy in?
- Are you facing pushback?
- How will you bridge the gap between departments and teams?
- Are you coordinating your plans and decisions?
- Have you established formal committees?
