Question

Does the Laserfiche DocuSign interface allow for Access Codes

asked on December 22, 2014

One of the features of DocuSign is to "password protect" an document using a Access Code.

I've enabled the feature on the document template in DocuSign, but I'm not getting prompted to enter the Access Code when I send a document for signature and select the template in Web Access.

Hi Greg,

Yes, you can use Access Codes with the Laserfiche DocuSign integration. Security is set on the DocuSign template, so anything you set on that template will be accessible when assigned through Laserfiche. You shouldn't have to enter that code when you send out a document for signature from Laserfiche; whomever you send the the document to will have to enter the code before they are able to sign it.

As Jason noted, you do not need to enter the code to send the envelope, as the code is set per template and is entered by designated recipients of the envelope before they can sign.

If you want to change the access code, you can designate yourself (or another DocuSign user) as the first recipient with the role of "Manage Envelope", then go into DocuSign to modify the Access Code for later recipients.
