9013 Access Denied error in Thick Client 9.2

asked on December 22, 2014

Having an issue with 1 user.  Thick client 9.2 windows authentication gives 9013 Access Denied/ Permission Denied error but when I use Laserfiche Authentication I am able to login.  The rest of the users are able to use windows authentication.

Went as far as deleting user and adding them again with the same issue.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

Does the user have a named user license assigned? Is the user trusted to log in?

What about their Windows password being expired?

Yes user has license assigned.  I am able to login using Laserfiche Authentication with that user.

I am not adding the user in Windows Accounts.  I am linking their domain account in Users.

Either way it is still going to use a windows authentication password for security, unless they don't use a password to login to their computers locally. If their password has expired then it won't authenticate for Laserfiche.

This behavior with named user allocations and trustee linked accounts is discussed in KB 1012735
