Rio - Link Server to Directory Server

posted on December 22, 2014 Show version history

I want to re-establish the link from my Laserfiche server to my directory server. How do I re-run this wizard?

ActivationTool.exe has no options available for Rio users

Are you just referring to licensing? If the Laserfiche Server is already installed and you just want to make sure it's properly licensed for use with your Directory Server, then go into the Directory Server Web Administration Console, make sure the Laserfiche Server application instance is listed there and generate a license for it. Then copy the license file to the Laserfiche Server computer, place it in the Laserfiche Server installation directory, and restart the Laserfiche Server service.

Ok, I was trying that with no luck. I continued to create new application instances and creating lf.licx files for each one until I found one that worked, then I deleted all the others. I was looking for a wizard like in the installer or something more visual / reliable.

What was happening is after replacing the lf.licx file and restarting the Laserfiche Server service it would show no licensing information and lock all users out as if though it could not see the directory server.
