How to start a forms process from workflow?

posted on December 16, 2014

Hello all,

I found this thread (and many besides) that imply it's possible to start a forms process from a POST activity in workflow. I can't find any hits for the webapi or samples. Could someone help or direct me to more informations please?

Blake, I remember reading that too. Erik C. said it, I believe. Never the less, I live on the edge and have my reasons so please spill the beans, if you have any to spill!

The email solution is the one in place at the moment but not preferred.

Same here, I need this type of functionality so a manager can go through a bunch of approvals in a row, instead of opening different documents just to use metadata or something potentially not being processed because they missed clicking a link

If I recall, it was said by a Laserfiche employee that is not recommended because things in Forms are still changing. They will be coming out with an SDK for Forms, just not sure when. One way we currently accomplish this is to just send an email to an individual that has a link to the form they need to start. It can then do a database lookup if needed to fill in parts of the form.
