Forms functionality question

Forms Version 9 Laserfiche

Hi All,

 

Can a customer running Forms 9.0.x on a RIO 9.0.x environment upgrade Forms to 9.2.x and remain at 9.0.x for the rest of the suite ? I know this is not a "Best Practice", and my experience tells me it likely will cause errors, but they want to know if it can be done, and will it be supported?

When Forms 9.2 came out, there were some new features that we had been waiting on so I upgraded this a day or two after release but did not wish to move the Laserfiche server from 9.1 to 9.2 immediately.  So, we ran in this configuration for approximately 2 months with no apparent issues.

Please refer to the Laserfiche Forms 9.2 readme file (found in the installation package). It states

Laserfiche Forms requires version 9.0 or later of the Laserfiche Server. Forms is not compatible with standalone editions of Laserfiche (Executive, Desktop, etc.).
