Image Enable - 9035 error after 10 searches

asked on December 10, 2014

I have seen and read the similar post (https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/55332/ClientAutomation-ERROR-The-current-request-could-not-be-performed-because-there-are-too-many-existing-operations-running-9035) regarding this issue with Client Automation.  The work around mentioned in that thread is working, but this will not be a good long term solution.  A client of mine has an integration written using Image Enable on a public terminal for public users.  Because of this, they won't be able to let each of them know they will need to close the Laserfiche Client when experiencing this issue.  Is there another way of resolving this issue?  It seems to me the Client should be closing the search when a new search is run.

Thank you

There isn't a way to control search lifetime from Client Automation (CAT) once a search is run, but that is a short-coming in CAT that will be addressed in the next version.

If your friend contacts LF technical support, we might be able to get them a hotfix that causes the client to close the previously open search before it launches a new one.

Thank you for this.  I will open a support case for this issue on behalf of the client today.  Also, this client is using Image Enable, not CAT.  Will this cause any issues with the hotfix?

We can probably work out something, but it's important to know if ImageEnable or CAT is being used as the hotfix might only work with one or the other, depending on how it's implemented.

The issue I am seeing is with Image Enable.  This integration is not using CAT.

I experienced this problem after 10 searches from my C# SDK application.  However, I did not need to retain my search results, so to resolve, I invoked the C# Search.Close() method, which releases resources and prevents the 9035 error.
