Question

WebAccess & Business Process versus Firewall configuration

asked on December 5, 2014

We are receiving an error that looks like "Unable to launch Business Process. Can't connect to remote server." when launching a business process from the Web Access server that resides in the DMZ. It is however working fine when we do the same actions from the WebAccess server that is just beside the LFS server.

In the customer configuration, I have one server for LFS & LFFTS and one server for WF. The WebAccess server is installed in the DMZ. I have another WebAccess server just beside the LFS server

I have looked at the Laserfiche document called "Laserfiche_Web_Access_9.2_Installation_Guide.pdf" and looked for Firewall configuration.

We initially setup firewall opening for port 80 and port 5051 between DMZ WebAccess server and LFS server as per this document but nothing else seems present in this document.

Is there another set of ports that I need to open between WebAccess and LFS, or from WebAccess and Workflow server?

Web Access starts business processes by posting messages directly to the web service on the WF Server. So port 80 needs to be open for traffic on the Workflow Server too.

Hi Miruna,

Will this port 80 dependency be addressed? I've just retested with v11.

Ben
