stuck creating repository

asked on December 4, 2014

I am creating the first repository, I go through all the steps and click on create. THe creating repository window opens and nevers stops, no tables are created, no erros in the event viewer. It is if nothing is happening.

Has anyone seen this before? What oculd be the reason?

I amusing windows 2012 and SQL 2012.  I have just installed Laserfiche 9.2 Avante.

If you use SQL Server Management Studio Independent of the LF Admin console, are you able to create a blank SQL db?

If so, can you make sure that the account you are using for the LF server service is using an account with full rights to SQL?

Are you using SQL 2012 as well? Is LF in the same machine as the SQL Server?

Can you make sure that the Authentication mode for SQL has been turned on?

Also, please make sure that the account you are using with the LF server service has rights to SQL (sysadmin role).  If you are using local system with the LF server service, please make sure that that the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM has the sysadmin role.

Antivirus applications have also been known to block the process. You can try temporarily stopping or uninstalling it before going through the wizard.

It will also be a good idea to test creating a sql db using SQL Server Management Studio.  If you can create a db with that, you should be able to use that same windows account for the LF server service.
