Moving Server - Checked Out documents

A customer plans to move Laserfiche to a new server this weekend.  The volumes will be moved in this process.  Users would like to check out documents that they may need during the move.  They will check them back in once everything is on the new server.  Is this advisable or would it be better to ensure everything is checked in before the server move?

It's fine for users to have documents checked out.  They shouldn't have a problem checking in after the move.

Hi Jenn. 

Why not just export the document instead? Since the LF server will be moved anyway, no one will have access to it and make changes.  Once the server has been moved, it can be imported back in.
