Question

TIFF Images become garbled after snapshot(generate pages)

asked on December 3, 2014 Show version history

We have been running into Garbled text problem from time to time. It has been identified as a per-user based problem. It happens to some users more frequently than others. There are several pdf files such as the FS2014001 attached, that we tried and tried, but still could not snapshot it right. Don't know why it happens, and how the problem can be fixed.

We have tried print to snapshot and generate pages in content pane, but still could not get a good TIFF image out of the PDF.

Please Help!

Please see KB 1012815 and see if that helps with the matter.

Thanks Alexander. I was hoping the most updated version would solve the gargled text problem. Thanks for the confirmation. For some reasons, we have not been able to update our system for the past one year. Now we are waiting for the LF 10 in 2015

No problem Bonnie. Sounds good. I hope you're as excited as we are about the future releases in the upcoming year.

Hi

Why you just don't import or drag and drop the PDF to Laserfiche removing the PDF and left only the pages?

It's easier than configure the snapshot for the pdf

Thanks Gerardo, since our current 9.0 snapshot quality is unpredictable. We need to retain PDF in case we need to run snapshot again. I am glad to know that "the Invalid Characters after snapshot" should no longer be an issue, once our system is properly updated.
