I had an interesting call today, and was curious if anyone else had noticed this.
When doing rescan on a document, if you rescan the document three times, it locks up the scanning. There is a qualifier in the equation though. The pages are duplex. This was in LF scanning, with no Quickfields.
The client would have the page, and in the test, we just rescanned the first duplexed page. After the third time of scanning, just as the customer explained, it did lock up. I went through a few different trials of this, and got the same result. I then highlighted page one and two of the scanned document thumbnails(which accounts for one duplexed page of paper), and it replaced the pages, and never did lock up.
I am imagining this is due to the second page of the duplex, not having a destination for replacement, and so it would go into a buffer, and then not have the ability to be released, or placed anywhere in the document.
Any thoughts on this?
