.NET app using SDK -- need permissions help

We have an app built using the SDK. User permissions are controlled using AD groups. So, an authorized user is a member of an AD group, which is in turn linked in Laserfiche to a Laserfiche group.

This works fine for folder and document permissions. However, we find that template and field permissions do not seem to work using this model of AD groups linked to Laserfiche groups. What we have to do as a workaround is add the AD user account to the Laserfiche group. Laserfiche grants the template or field access in this case.

Is there a way to allow template or field access to an AD group?

There certainly shouldn't be a difference between using AD groups vs. users, but you can check the field and template access rights directly through the admin console. If it comes to it, there's no limitation on manually assigning AD groups access directly, although first check if the Lf groups have the rights you expect.
