Laserfiche Rio hardware requierment

hi all

we are proposing one of the prospect customer following Setup for RIO 50 Users.

Option-1

1.)  1 VM Box with 20 Core & 36 GB (Directory Server,Laserfiche Server,Workflow,WebAccess ,Forms,Audit Trail)

2.) 1 Box for DB Server (MS-SQL) 4 Core + 32 GB

3.) SAN Storage

 

Option-2

1.) 1-VM (Laserfiche Server) 4 Core + 8 GB

2.) 1-Box (DB Server+LF Directory Server ) 4 Core + 32 GB

3.) 1-VM (Workflow + Forms) 4 Core + 12 GB

4.) 1-VM (WebAccess +Audit Trail) 4 Core + 8 GB

5.) 1- VM Test Server with Good configuration.

6.) 1-VM Application Backup Server with good configuration

7.) 1- SAN Storage.

 

Please kindly advice which one will be the best setup for customer (Financially & Technically)

Hey Mazahir,

 

It looks like you have put a lot of thought into this! I can't give you a definitive answer as to which set up is better for the customer, that is for you to determine. This is not a simple decision, but you know the customer's needs, budget, and expectations, so you have the materials necessary to make an informed decision.

Both options should have the same performance, it just comes down to how you and the customer want to set up the installation, and whether or not the customer is comfortable with putting all components on one VM box.
