Question

workflow performance after upgrade to 9.2

asked on November 21, 2014

I recently upgraded workflow to version 9.2.0.167. The previous version was 9.1.1. Since the upgrade, it is taking up to an hour for one workflow to start. The volume is fairly high on this workflow server so I am wondering if there is anything I can do to shorten the time that the workflows kick off. The start rule conditions for this workflow are on create :

Entry Type = Document

Repository = "repository"

Path = "\repository\monitored folder"

Field value (status) = incomming

The workflow server has 6 proccessors with a total of 24 cores and has 8 gb of memory.

System resources via windows task manager tend to run at about 20% for the proc's, and around 70% for memory.

Look in the Workflow Administration Console, under Monitoring\Subscribers and right-click on the subscriber name to open the Subscriber Trace. Is there a backlog of notifications to process on the repository tab? (look either at the processing load graphs at the top or at the message queue sizes in the bottom left corner of the dialog).
