sort by tags

I think we were able to do this in 8.3 but for sure we cannot do this in 9.2.  Sort by Tags.  When we click on the column it does not give us the ability to sort YES or NO.

 

Is there something I am missing?  I tried to do a search for all records that do not have a particular tag and it just sets their and clocks.... I can get all of them that have it but I need the opposite.

Hi Bonnie,

This feature actually doesn't exist in Laserfiche 8 or 9. The reason is that the actual sorting can be ambiguous (sorting by Yes/No or possibly sorting by the tag assigned alphabetically, etc.) and there hasn't been an efficient way of accomplishing it.

However, can you provide your specific use case for this? That way we can revisit this feature and see if it can be implemented in a future version.

 

In regards to your issue of the search seemingly freezing when you're trying to do a tag search, i.e. "Find entries with 'none' of the following selected tags:"

I would suggest contacting your Laserfiche reseller to open a support case.
