How to send a plain text email from Workflow 9.1?

When testing a configured SMTP Email account in Workflow Admin the resulting email is in Plain Text.

However, when using workflow designer and the email activity I do not see any option to send a plain text email? Everything is defaulting to html even if special formatting is not being used.

Is there a way for workflow to send emails in plain text?

Emails from the Workflow activities have both HTML and plain text layers. The application you're viewing them with decides what it displays by default. Nowadays, most applications default to HTML.

Hi Miruna

Is there any mean to force the layer that is sent such that, for exampe, only the plain text layer is sent? In situations where the receiving application is dumb and is unable to be configured to choose which of the two layers to read.

Not yet, but we are adding that option for Workflow 9.2.1 which should be out within the next few weeks.

Thanks for the update Miruna. I don't see the exact mention of this new feature in the release notes though. Would you mind pointing me in it's direction so that I can prove it's existence to the powers that be?
