Question

SDK Information

SDK
asked on November 19, 2014

I have a customer who purchased the SDK years ago.  They currently have new staff and are interested in using the SDK to integrate with an application they are using.  They're asking me for information, however, I'm not certain what info to provide to them?  Should I just tell them to download the latest SDK release and will that provide them with the info they need?  They want to know what the SDK provides them, and we don't really use it.

Thanks!!

Daryl,

My feedback is that if they have any competency with .NET development and object oriented programming (OOP) and you provide them with the SDK and documentation they should have no trouble understanding what the SDK can do for them.

What the developer(s) might lack is an in-depth understanding of Laserfiche itself which perhaps you can assist with.  (I have found that the more I understand how Laserfiche 'works' the better I am able to apply that knowledge in using the SDK).

I would also give their developer(s) access to the Laserfiche support site to ask questions directly.

To paraphrase what Bert shared; the SDK contains of all of the .NET assemblies, COM objects, references, documentation, and sample projects that will allow you to develop Laserfiche integrations and/or Laserfiche add-ons.

The SDK installer has the Runtime files, sample project files, and documentation files.

Have you tried to talk to your RM Daryl?  Product information should be available from them.
